Olympic Champions Errani, Paolini Win French Open Women’s Doubles Title
By Karolos Grohmann

Italy’s Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini captured the French Open women’s doubles title on Sunday, defeating Coco Gauff and Katerina Siniakova in a thrilling final. The Italian duo triumphed 6-3, 6-1 on Court Philippe-Chatrier, marking a major milestone in their partnership.

Errani, a seasoned doubles veteran and former world No. 1 in doubles, added another Grand Slam trophy to her impressive resume, while Paolini celebrated her first major title. Their victory was built on smart court positioning, consistent returns, and seamless teamwork.

Gauff and Siniakova, both accomplished in singles and doubles, struggled to find rhythm against the relentless Italians. Despite flashes of brilliance, they were unable to counter Errani and Paolini’s aggressive net play and steady baseline control.

This win caps an incredible clay season for Paolini, who also reached the singles final at Roland Garros. The Italian pair, who previously won Olympic gold together, now add a Grand Slam to their list of achievements, strengthening their status as one of the top teams in women’s doubles.

With this win, Italy claims its first French Open women’s doubles title since Errani’s previous triumph in 2012. The duo’s chemistry and determination proved unstoppable on Parisian clay.
