Mallorca, Spain – July 4, 2025
Tennis legend Rafael Nadal and his wife Maria Francisca “Xisca” Perelló celebrated their wedding anniversary this weekend with an opulent celebration that left guests—and fans—speechless.
The couple, who tied the knot in a private ceremony in October 2019 at the La Fortaleza estate, returned to the stunning island of Mallorca for an anniversary bash that blended elegance, tradition, and a touch of celebrity sparkle.
According to sources close to the family, the celebration was held at Nadal’s private residence near Porto Cristo, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The event was attended by close friends, family, and a few high-profile guests, including Spanish royalty, global athletes, and famous faces from the entertainment world.
Guests were welcomed with champagne and traditional Mallorcan music, followed by a candlelit dinner prepared by renowned Spanish chef Martín Berasategui. The menu featured a fusion of local delicacies and international flavors, with guests raving about the seafood paella and Basque cheesecake.
Nadal, dressed in a tailored white linen suit, gave a heartfelt speech dedicated to his wife of six years. “You have been the calm to my storm, my greatest supporter both on and off the court,” he said, raising a toast as Maria smiled with emotion. Maria, wearing a flowing, custom-designed gown by Spanish designer Rosa Clará, was described as “radiant” and “graceful” by attendees.
The highlight of the evening came when internationally acclaimed artist Alejandro Sanz made a surprise appearance, serenading the couple with a live performance of their favorite song, “Amiga Mía,” as fireworks lit up the sky above the sea.
Although Nadal is semi-retired from professional tennis, he remains active in coaching and mentoring young talents through the Rafa Nadal Academy. The anniversary event also served as a soft fundraiser, with select guests donating to the Rafa Nadal Foundation, which supports educational programs for underprivileged youth.
As photos from the private event slowly surfaced on social media, fans flooded the comments with messages of admiration and congratulations. Many were thrilled to see Nadal enjoying his personal life after a decorated career that brought him 22 Grand Slam titles and the admiration of millions.
“This was not just a celebration of love,” one guest told Hola! Magazine, “but a celebration of a legacy built on hard work, humility, and enduring devotion.”
The couple is reportedly planning a quiet getaway next week to the Swiss Alps before Nadal returns to his coaching duties at the academy.
