“It’s All Different”: Lewis Hamilton Speaks Candidly on Ferrari’s Culture
Seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton has opened up about his experience at Ferrari, revealing how deeply different the culture is compared to his previous teams. Speaking to Auto Racer ahead of the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix, Hamilton reflected on the emotional and passionate environment he now finds himself in.
“It’s all different,” Hamilton said. “The Tifosi follow you everywhere. There’s a personal connection to Ferrari that you don’t find anywhere else.” Since joining Ferrari from Mercedes in January, Hamilton has had a mixed start to the 2025 season. After seven races, he has secured only two top-five finishes and currently sits sixth in the championship standings with 53 points.
At the recent Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in Imola, Hamilton and teammate Charles Leclerc both exited in Q2. Despite the setback, Hamilton was energized by the support from the Italian fans. “The atmosphere at Imola was electric. Even when things didn’t go our way, the fans embraced me,” he said.
Hamilton acknowledged the challenges in adapting to the SF-25, Ferrari’s 2025 car, but praised the team’s dedication. “The mechanics and engineers never stop working. Their passion and drive are unlike anything I’ve seen before,” he noted.
As he heads into his first Monaco Grand Prix wearing Ferrari red, Hamilton remains hopeful. “There’s still so much potential in the car. We’re learning more every weekend, and I truly believe we’ll unlock its performance soon.”
With Ferrari’s storied legacy and the unwavering support of the Tifosi, Hamilton is embracing a new chapter in his illustrious career—one that is fueled by emotion, determination, and the dream of winning in red.
