Lewis Hamilton’s inaugural season with Ferrari has encountered a significant hurdle as the team’s SF-25 upgrade plans have reportedly been delayed, compounding the challenges he faces in adapting to his new environment.

The SF-25, Ferrari’s 2025 challenger, introduced a new pull-rod front suspension aimed at enhancing aerodynamic efficiency and tyre performance. However, this design has led to handling issues, including bouncing and unpredictable behavior, reminiscent of the problems Hamilton experienced with Mercedes’ W15 in 2024.

Hamilton has openly expressed his frustration, noting that modifications to the car often result in diminished performance. He has also highlighted the complexities of adapting to Ferrari’s different driving styles and methodologies, particularly when compared to his previous experiences.

Compounding these issues, Ferrari has not scheduled any significant upgrades for the upcoming Grand Prix, leaving Hamilton and the team to focus on optimizing the current setup. This situation has raised concerns about the team’s ability to compete effectively against rivals like McLaren and Red Bull, especially given Ferrari’s current position in the standings.

Despite these setbacks, Hamilton remains committed to working closely with Ferrari to improve the car’s performance. He acknowledges the adaptation process is ongoing and emphasizes the importance of collaboration with his engineers to overcome the current challenges.

As the season progresses, the effectiveness of Ferrari’s strategies and Hamilton’s adaptability will be crucial in determining their success in the highly competitive Formula 1 landscape.
